Katy Douglass has been involved with ceramics for over 35 years, and has recently retired as an elementary school teacher to focus on her art full time. She works at her studios in Montana and California and regularly interacts with other artists in the San Gabriel Valley area. Her work includes a wide variety of thrown pottery, slab construction and detailed sgraffito. She finds inspiration in nature - her happy place - and greatly values her family and close friends.
